She had 18 years of water utility experience and had evaluated other options before, including Edmunds GovTech. But Sardis City is a small public nonprofit managing roughly 1,800 active meters. A new billing clerk who joined from a larger utility with in-house systems found Current's interface intuitive from her first week. The customer portal now accepts bank accounts, credit cards, and debit cards with lower transaction fees—and in-person card payments became practical for the first time.
